Fruit
Medium to large, juicy and firm, sweet with very low acidity, cinnamon-spiced. When dried it develops a light vanilla aroma. An excellent drying pear.
Growth
Very vigorous growth, forming huge trees with age.
Yield
Cropping starts late, later high and regular.
Notes
Old, very robust utility variety from NRW for the orchard meadow; prefers warm, moist soils, no special warmth needs. Grown up to 350 m. Tree- and eating-ripe mid September, for immediate use. On the NRW list of old orchard varieties.
Care
As a large-crowned orchard tree robust and low-maintenance; process or dry promptly since it does not store.
