Fruit
Very juicy yet firm-fleshed. Sweet and tart flavour with only slight acidity. Relatively large fruit despite heavy cropping.
Growth
Strong growth, suited to the standard orchard.
Yield
Comes into bearing early, later heavy-yielding; a mass cropper.
Notes
Undemanding, robust variety with high fertility, ideal for standard orchards but not a dessert pear. For all sites with higher heat needs, cultivation even above 350 m. Best fruit quality on nutrient-rich soils. Tree-ripe late September to early October, ready to eat October, for immediate use.

Undemanding, little care needed. Process soon after tree ripeness, as it does not store.
