Description
Fruit
Juicy, semi-melting, sweet-sour, faintly to delicately aromatic. When firm also suited to juicing.
Growth
Growth vigorous at first, later medium-strong. Suited to garden and standard orchard.
Yield
Early start of bearing, later alternating between full crops and medium yields (tendency to fluctuate).
Notes
Widely adaptable without special heat needs, recommended even in mountain sites above 350 m; robust and productive. On the NRW list of recommended old orchard varieties. Late blossom, tree-ripe September, ready to eat September to October; depending on site 14 days, in mountain areas 3 to 4 weeks. Store loosely with air access.
