Description
Fruit
Large fruit, uneven in size and shape. Very juicy, melting, sweet with fine acidity; on optimal sites with a delicate muscat aroma. Ripe fruit is very pressure-sensitive.
Growth
Medium-strong to stronger growth. Wind-prone due to fruit size and unsuited to standards. Frequent pruning against ageing needed, otherwise small stunted fruit forms.
Yield
Starts early, later medium-high and regular.
Notes
High quality only on warm, sheltered sites with nutrient-rich, adequately moist soils; cultivation up to 350 m. In cooler locations unsatisfactory fruit quality; best considered on a sheltered wall espalier. Do not pick too early, when the ground colour lightens. Blossom mid-late, tree-ripe late August to early September, ready to eat September; keeps only 1 to 2 weeks.

Prune regularly to prevent ageing and stunted fruit. Grow sheltered, not as a standard. Pick only when the ground colour lightens.
