Description
Fruit
Semi-melting, juicy, faintly sweet and wine-tart, without marked aroma; sweet-tart, slightly tart note. A dessert pear on good sites, otherwise a utility variety.
Growth
Medium vigour for orchard meadows. Fruit holds firmly and securely on the tree until ripeness (wind-fast).
Yield
Cropping starts early, from the 4th to 5th year, and later stays high and regular.
Notes
Undemanding variety with no special warmth needs; prefers airy, free-standing sites with enough nutrients and moisture. Grown up to hill country (350 m). Tree-ripe late September, eating-ripe mid Oct to mid Nov, keeps 1 to 2 months.
