Description
Fruit
Very juicy and fully melting, balanced sweet-tart and highly aromatic in the typical way. Outstanding fruit quality.
Growth
Initially medium to vigorous, becoming weak once high yields set in. Suitable for garden, espalier and orchard meadow.
Yield
Cropping begins early, from the 4th to 5th year. Later, very high and moderate yields alternate.
Notes
Highly aromatic autumn dessert pear with high site demands. Needs nutrient-rich, sufficiently moist and warmer soils, no strongly calcareous ones. Grown up to about 350 m. Tree-ripe early Sept to early Oct, eating-ripe late Sept to late Oct.
Care
Requires careful care. An airy, free-standing site lowers scab pressure. Pick firm-ripe just before tree ripeness.
