Buttery-melting, very juicy, sweet, mildly acidic and delicately aromatic.
Growth
Medium vigour; for garden and traditional orchard.
Yield
Bears mid-late, after roughly 7 to 8 years, then reaches a high and regular level.
Notes
Regarded as the best early dessert and orchard pear. Thrives on fertile, moist, warm soils, tolerates no upland. Blooms mid-early. Tree-ripe late July to early Aug, keeps only about two weeks and goes mealy fast; fruit storm-firm until ripeness.
