Large, colourful, nearly melting early pear, moderately juicy with rather low sugar and pleasant spicing.
Growth
Medium-strong growth, thrives even on light soils.
Yield
Early to medium-early to start, then high and regular; the fruit hangs wind-firm until tree ripeness.
Notes
The first large-fruited, early and robust dessert pear for garden and orchard, even on light soils. Prefers warmer, moister soils, can be grown in low-mountain areas, no special heat requirement. Harvest 5 to 8 days before tree ripeness in early August, ready to eat August to early September, keeps only about 2 weeks.
