Satisfying dessert pear, sweet with distinct acidity and spicy notes.
Growth
Strong-growing with large, long-lived crowns; on medium-vigorous rootstock bushy and up to about 4.5 m tall.
Yield
High to very high yields with wind-firm fruit set.
Notes
Listed in the NRW proposal list of old orchard varieties. For espalier, garden and orchard, even in mountain areas above 400 m, no special heat requirement. Tree-ripe early September, ready to eat September to early October, for immediate use.
Care
Thin the crop on garden trees and espaliers because of the heavy set. Do not pick too early for good aroma.
