Fruit

Half-melting, grainy, juicy fruit, sweet-sour, weakly spiced with a slightly bitter note. Especially valued for drying.

Growth

Medium-strong growth, suitable for all tree forms including garden and espalier.

Yield

Early to bear, with high and regular yields.

Notes

For garden and espalier up to low-mountain areas around 350 m, but needs warm, sheltered positions with higher heat demands; robust and hardy there. Ready to eat late October to early December, keeps around 2 months.

Care

Pick just before tree ripeness from mid-September when fruit drop begins. Choose a warm, sheltered site; slight tendency to grit cells around the core.
