Notes

Very good for espalier and home-garden growing up to mid-mountain sites around 350 m. Prefers warm, dry, well-aired sites and rich soils; in humid sites scab risk rises. Tree-ripe late September to mid October, ready to use December to early February, keeps up to 4 months; after removal do not let it after-ripen but use at once.

Pick exactly as tree ripeness begins; handle fruit gently (pressure-sensitive) and avoid temperature swings in storage; a dry, airy site counters scab.
