Mildly sweet, aromatic dessert apple with low acidity (rated 2-3); full flavour only with late picking, no pre-harvest drop.
Growth
Tree of medium vigour.

Winter apple, harvested around late October to early November.
Notes
Not suited to orchards; in the garden only on well-ventilated sites. Keeps about 4-5 months. Passed its susceptibilities on to many modern bred varieties.
