Description
Fruit
Potato-like grey-brown russeted fruit; acidity-driven yet with good sugar content, pleasant taste (rated 3+).
Growth
Triploid variety, at first very strong then weaker growing; large to medium, broadly rounded, rarely closed crown with pronounced fruit-arch formation under light pruning.
Yield
Early to come into bearing, regular and high; tends toward premature fruit drop.
Notes
Old variety, robust against disease, scab-free and resistant to sooty blotch; suited to orchards, keeps about 4-5 months.
Care
Thin properly when fruit set is heavy; this improves fruit quality.
