Finely aromatic and very juicy late-summer apple, well-known and popular (rated 1-2).
Growth
Very large, tall, broadly domed and spreading crown; scaffold branches steeply upright and moderately branched, laterals slightly overhanging. Fruiting on one-year fruit shoots of two-year long shoots (50%) and one-year long shoots (25%).
Yield
Late to come into bearing, tends to alternate; fruits drop easily before ripening, windfall share about 20%.
Notes
For orchard and conditionally garden; only short storage (4-6 weeks). Harvest around late August to early September.

Curb the vigour with annual post-bloom pruning and a summer cut.
