Dull-looking fruit, sweet and slightly aromatic (rated 2-); skin with characteristic astringency. Very well tolerated by allergy sufferers.
Growth
Tree of medium vigour.
Yield
Autumn maturity around late September to early October.
Notes
Recommended for orchard and garden (NRW orchard-protection board); keeps about 2 months. Also excellent for apple juice. On heavy soils prone to canker.
