Description
Fruit
Culinary and dessert apple (grade 3+). When well-ripened, slightly almond- to marzipan-like aroma; sweet with hearty acidity.
Growth
Vigorous at first, later only medium-strong to weak. Crown tends to be uneven: upright at first, later broad-globular with hanging side branches. Short fruiting wood - short fruit spurs and darts evenly spread over side branches and main limbs. Prone to pre-harvest fruit drop.
Yield
Yield sets in early, high to very high, regular.
Notes
On heavy, dense soils quite prone to canker. Stores about 2 months.
Care
Regular annual monitoring cuts; rejuvenate fruiting wood in heavy-crop years. Pick early and in several passes because of pre-harvest drop. Cut out canker on heavy soils.
