Description
Fruit
Juicy and melting, sweetish and wine-tart, pleasantly spiced. Fruit becomes very large and heavy, regarded as handsome and sound.
Croissance
First vigorous, later medium growth; suited to garden and orchard meadow and all tree forms. Not wind-fast because of the large, heavy fruit.
Rendement
Comes into bearing early; later high and regular.
Remarques
Broadly plantable up to medium elevations (350 m) in a sheltered spot; needs good soils, neither too dry nor too heavy, higher warmth needs. Tree-ripe late September, eating-ripe late Sept to late Oct, keeps about 3 weeks.
Entretien
Choose a sheltered site because of the heavy, non-wind-fast fruit; keep the soil adequately moist.
