Description
Fruit
Juicy to very juicy, faintly sweet-sour and weakly aromatic; skin browns at once on temperature change, fruit very pressure-sensitive.
Croissance
Initially moderate to strong growth, only weak once in bearing. Fruit wind-firm at first, then dropping heavily.
Rendement
Cropping starts early and stays high and regular.
Remarques
Very good for espalier and home-garden growing up to mid-mountain sites around 350 m. Prefers warm, dry, well-aired sites and rich soils; in humid sites scab risk rises. Tree-ripe late September to mid October, ready to use December to early February, keeps up to 4 months; after removal do not let it after-ripen but use at once.
Entretien
Pick exactly as tree ripeness begins; handle fruit gently (pressure-sensitive) and avoid temperature swings in storage; a dry, airy site counters scab.
