Melting, juicy, sweet fruit with little acidity and weak spicing; not outstanding in flavour but a large, handsome pear.

Strong growth; in the garden only where there is enough room, otherwise mainly for orchards.

Regular and high.

Remarques

One of the least demanding varieties, widely grown even in rough climates and up to 1000 m, with no special heat or soil needs; robust against disease. Late blossom, tree-ripe mid-September, ready to eat October, for immediate use.

Low-maintenance. Plant in the garden only where there is enough room and use promptly, as it does not store.
