Description
Fruit
Half-melting, very juicy flesh, wine-tart and moderately sweet with a spicy aroma. If picked too late the fruit goes mealy from the inside.
Growth
Growth initially medium, later weak. Suitable as a wall espalier up to 400 m.
Yield
Early-starting, high and regular yield.
Notes
Autumn dessert pear for warm, open pear sites with higher heat needs; tolerates no wet, cold soils, grown up to 350 m. Tree-ripe late September to early October, ready October to November, keeps about a month. Wind-firm until tree-ripeness.
Care
Pick in good time (about late September) to prevent the flesh going mealy inside. Avoid wet, cold sites.
