Storage

Given in thirds of a month (early / mid / late) for the northern hemisphere in a temperate climate; altitude and season shift them.

Description

Fruit

Large, well-coloured fruit with a light rose aroma; fruity, clean, good apple flavour (rated 3 where 1 is best).

Growth

Triploid variety. Strong growth even at full-bearing age. Crown very large and tall, leaders first medium-steep to steeply upright, later spreading and horizontal; long, densely branched laterals. Fruiting wood with spurs evenly distributed. Wind-firm.

Yield

Late onset of bearing, alternating (biennial) cropping.

Notes

Recommended as an orchard variety by the NRW orchard-protection board. On heavy soils prone to bitter pit and canker.

Care

Gentle pruning suffices; the crown gets by with regular thinning.
