Description
Fruit
Very large, sometimes overly large fruit with a fine red cheek; flavour rated 2 with a slightly winey note.
Growth
Triploid variety, very vigorous even at full-bearing age. Large, broad-pyramidal crown with many long limbs prone to breaking out. Fruiting wood: long shoots set with one- and several-year-old short spurs.
Yield
Yield medium and regular. Because of short stalks the ripe tree tends to drop fruit.
Notes
Typical, very robust traditional-orchard variety; recommended as a traditional-orchard variety in NRW. Only briefly storable (2-3 weeks).
Care
Train the long-growing scaffold and side branches strongly enough so they cannot break.
