Description
Fruit
Good dessert apple (rated 2 where 1 is best) with a light raspberry aroma; slightly berry-like, sweetish flavour. Stores about 2 to 2.5 months.
Growth
Medium vigour, strong on vigorous rootstocks. Crown high-round, tending to droop due to long, tipping fruit rods; typical fruit arches. Fruiting wood: long fruit rods. Wind-firm.
Yield
Late onset, then high and regular.
Notes
Suited to orchards and gardens, robust against disease. Fruit prone to the rowan leaf miner.
Care
When building the crown, strengthen leaders with more frequent cutting-back to counter the drooping habit.
