Given in thirds of a month (early / mid / late) for the northern hemisphere in a temperate climate; altitude and season shift them.

Tart yet very sweet, with hints of pineapple (rated 3+). A dessert apple on sunny sites, otherwise more of a kitchen apple.

Medium vigour, crown small to medium, later broadly rounded; forms sturdy trunks and mostly upright branches with finely divided shoots. Wind-firm.

Cropping starts early. Tends to biennial bearing under extensive care.

Unsuitable for purely extensive garden or orchard growing because of strong scab susceptibility. Keeps up to 5 months.

More frequent pruning to open up the crown. For dessert quality, thin blossom and fruit to counter biennial bearing.
