Faintly striped dessert apple (rated 2) with a clean, mildly sweet apple taste, juicy and low in acid, without perfumed aroma.
Growth
Vigorous, long-lived tree; specimens can exceed 100 years of age.
Yield
Cropping begins only after about 8-10 years and is then biennial.
Notes
Typical orchard variety, also recommended for the garden. Very disease-resistant, suitable for higher elevations and late-frost-prone sites. Keeps about 2 months (until November/December). Usually listed as 'Luxemburger Renette' in catalogues.
