Storage

Given in thirds of a month (early / mid / late) for the northern hemisphere in a temperate climate; altitude and season shift them.

Description

Fruit

Mild, aromatic dessert apple with a whitish-yellow skin; rated 2- (scale from 1). Keeps 4-5 months in storage until February/March.

Growth

Weak to medium vigour, strong when young then slowing. Broad-pyramidal to flat-round crown with drooping main branches and thin, short fruit wood. Wind-firm.

Yield

Comes into bearing early and crops heavily and regularly.

Notes

Only recommended for cultivation with reservations. Needs loose, well-aerated soils.

Care

Prune regularly for even fruiting; side branches may be left long as the buds break readily.
