Description
Fruit
Very juicy melting pear with a harmonious sweet-wine-acidic, fine aroma. One of the best-tasting November dessert pears.
Croissance
Growth first medium-strong, then weak. Fruit hangs wind-firm on the tree until tree ripeness. Very good for espalier with rain protection.
Rendement
Early start of bearing, later high and regular. With heavy set, fruit thinning is advised to improve quality.
Remarques
Needs warmer, dry-air sites with higher heat requirements; cultivation up to 350 m on nutrient-rich, warm, adequately moist soils. Tree-ripe early to mid October, ready to eat November to mid December; keeps about 6 weeks.
Entretien
Thin fruit when set is heavy. Best trained as a rain-protected espalier to reduce the strong scab pressure.
