Descripción
Fruto
Half-melting, juicy, refreshing, sweet-wine-sour with a fine spicy aroma reminiscent of elecampane and melon.
Crecimiento
Medium vigour; suited to garden and espalier.
Rendimiento
Bears comparatively late, only in the 7th or 8th year, but then stays high and regular.
Observaciones
Dessert pear with higher heat need; thrives best on warm, fertile, moist and well-aerated soils, up to low mountain sites (350 m). Tree-ripe late Sep to early Oct, eating-ripe late Oct to late Nov, open storage until first frost. Not to be confused with 'Nordhaeuser Winterforelle'.
Cuidados
Leave fruit on the tree until ripeness (it is storm-firm) and let it finish in open storage until frost. Ensure good air flow, as it is prone to white-spot disease.
