Given in thirds of a month (early / mid / late) for the northern hemisphere in a temperate climate; altitude and season shift them.

Fruit

Strongly red-coloured, attractive fruit, partly with reddish-tinged flesh. Crisp with a distinctive strawberry-/berry-like aroma (grade 1-2).

Growth

Medium vigour at first, weak once in full bearing. Small, broad crown; initially steep scaffolds with thin side branches that gently overhang outward. Fruiting wood mostly short spurs, sometimes standing too densely.

Yield

Early to come into bearing, then setting in with a delay, afterwards medium-high and regular. No pre-harvest drop; can be picked over several times to raise yield.

Notes

Early variety, ideal for home and small gardens. Needs loose soil; avoid waterlogged or heavy soils. Slightly prone to sunburn. Only short storage (4-6 weeks).

Care

Regular monitoring cuts; shorten young shoots and thin out spurs standing too densely. Thin fruit when set is heavy.
