Description

Fruit

Beans of light to purple tone, famous for the floral 'Arriba' aroma with jasmine and blossom notes.

Growth

Traditionally grown in Ecuador, a genetically distinct group. Susceptible to witches' broom, hence heavily displaced by CCN-51.

Yield

Medium yield; harvested year-round. Pure Nacional is now rare and traded as premium.

Notes

One of few fine flavour origins with its own denomination of origin.
