Description
Fruit
Large, reddish pods with deep purple beans. Strong, acidic-astringent flavour, considered bulk in taste.
Growth
Compact, self-compatible clone with early bearing and high tolerance to witches' broom. Requires intensive care and fertilisation.
Yield
Very high yield (often 3-4x traditional varieties); harvested year-round. Now dominates Ecuador's production.
Notes
Economically extremely important, but debated in flavour against Nacional.
