Description

Fruit

Small, strong beans with an astringent profile. Important chiefly as a resistance source, less as a flavour cacao.

Growth

Collected by F.J. Pound in the Peruvian Amazon; high resistance to witches' broom and frosty pod rot. Very vigorous growth.

Yield

Good yield; harvested year-round. Used worldwide as a resistance parent in crosses (incl. the TSH series).

Notes

One of the most important resistance clones in modern cacao breeding.
