Firm, juicy, acid-forward fruit; strongly sour at first, later sour-aromatic. Less attractive to look at but excellent for compote and apple cake (grade 2-3).

Medium-vigour tree.
Yield
Heavy-cropping.
Notes
Hardly disease-prone. For orchard and garden. Keeps 3 months. Recommended as an orchard variety by the NRW orchard-protection committee.

Robust, heavy-bearing variety; standard thinning cuts suffice.
