Medium, oval fruit with a somewhat thicker rind, moderately juicy, less acidic flesh and some seeds.

Robust, sparsely thorny tree whose main asset is tolerance to the fungal disease mal secco.

Moderate but reliable yields; preferred in mal-secco-prone areas.

Historically planted as a replacement for susceptible Femminello cultivars because of its disease tolerance.
