Growing

Lamb's lettuce prefers well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil and grows best in full sun. Sow in late summer to early autumn for a harvest in autumn and winter. Regular watering is important, especially in dry conditions. The plant is fairly undemanding and can be harvested over a long period by successive sowing.
