Small, pear-shaped fruit, 80-170 g, very thin, smooth, dark-purple to black edible skin. Flesh rich, nutty; large seed.
Growth
Vigorous tree; one of the hardiest cultivars (to about -7 °C).
Yield
Very productive; early autumn ripening.

Popular for cooler climates and as a cold-tolerant rootstock.
