Storage

Given in thirds of a month (early / mid / late) for the northern hemisphere in a temperate climate; altitude and season shift them.

Description

Fruit

Aromatic, attractively coloured fruit of very good flavour (rated 1); not suitable for apple allergy sufferers.

Growth

Moderately to strongly vigorous tree.

Yield

Regular and good bearing.

Notes

Scab-resistant new breed with monogenic resistance from the Japanese crab apple Malus floribunda; the scab resistance is now considered broken. Robust against mildew, but susceptible to canker, aphids and strongly to 'Topaz spots'. Stores 3-5 months.

Care

Watch for aphids and canker; since scab resistance is broken, do not neglect scab control.
