Elongated, large beans. At high altitude an extremely aromatic, tea-like and floral cup with bright acidity.

Very tall, open growth with long internodes and elongated leaves; low planting density.

Low yield and site-fussy – only worthwhile at top altitudes for the specialty market.

Made famous by Hacienda La Esmeralda (Panama) in 2004. Moderately tolerant of rust.
