Growing

Beetroot prefers a sunny to partly shaded site with loose, humus-rich and well-drained soil. The soil should be moist but not wet. Sow directly outdoors about 2-3 weeks before the last frost. Regular watering and occasional feeding promote growth. Thin the plants to 20-30 cm apart.
