Growing

Amaranthus hybridus prefers full sun and well-drained loamy or sandy soils with neutral to slightly acidic pH. It requires regular watering during establishment but is drought tolerant once mature. Sow seeds in spring after frost risk has passed, either directly outdoors or started indoors. Fertilize with compost or manure before planting. Control spontaneous reproduction to prevent invasiveness. Protect from strong winds and provide support if plants grow tall.
