Medium-sized fruit with thin skin, saffron-to-gold fibreless flesh and a rich, sweet, perfumed aroma. Regarded worldwide as one of the finest dessert mangoes.
Growth
Vigorous, medium-large tree; prone to irregular (alternate) bearing.
Yield
Main harvest in India April to June (Konkan coast, Ratnagiri, Devgad).
Notes
High-value export cultivar with protected geographical indication (GI Ratnagiri/Devgad Alphonso).
