Description
Fruit
Large, oval fruit with thick, deep red-orange skin and firm, fibrous flesh of mild flavour. Long shelf life.
Growth
Vigorous, productive tree with good disease tolerance (anthracnose).
Yield
Dominant export cultivar from Mexico, Brazil and Central America; year-round in world trade.
Notes
Favoured for long transport due to toughness and colour, less refined in flavour than Indian cultivars.
