Fruit

Large, conical-heart-shaped fruit with bright red skin. Juicy, sweet and aromatic flesh.

Growth

Vigorous, upright tree; brought from Fujian to Florida by missionary Brewster in 1903 and the standard cultivar there.

Yield

Mid-season; can bear alternately, but high yields in good years. Leading cultivar in Florida/Hawaii.

Notes

Seed size variable, often medium to large. Parent of several US selections (e.g. Bosworth-3).
