Growing
Astrantia minor prefers moist, fertile, humus-rich soil in sun or partial shade but tolerates drier conditions. Propagate by seed sown in pots in a cold frame as soon as seed is ripe or by division in spring. Cut back after flowering to encourage fresh growth. It thrives in temperate climates and mountainous regions with fresh alpine and subalpine soil.
