Uses
Medicinal: In the folk medicine of the Russian Far East the fruit of the kolomikta kiwi was regarded as a preventive against scurvy, and its use for bleeding, tuberculosis, whooping cough and tooth decay is recorded. The obvious background is the species' exceptionally high vitamin C content: the fruit reaches up to 1,200 mg per 100 g, and selected forms as much as 2,200 mg — many times what citrus fruit provides. High levels of polyphenols add to this. Whether the other recorded uses are connected to it has not been established.
