Uses
Edible: Palm juice (4-8L per day); various types of fruit (raw, dried, sweet, soft, sticky, suitable for pureeing) yield up to 100kg per tree, 12 tons per hectare, providing approximately 3384 kcal per square meter.

Coastal and lowland forest edges, as well as scrubland, on the North, South, and Chatham Islands in New Zealand.
