Growing

Rhubarb prefers a sunny to partly shaded site with deep, humus-rich, well-drained soil. It needs regular watering, especially in dry periods. Propagation is best by division of the rootstock in spring or autumn. To maintain vigor, old plants should be divided every 4-5 years. In winter a mulch layer protects the roots from frost.
