As of 16 September 2026
You can delete your Permaplans account and all associated data yourself at any time — no questions, no reason needed, no waiting period.
In the app, in three steps
1. Open Permaplans and go to Profile. 2. At the very bottom you will find “Delete account”. 3. Confirm in the warning dialog. It tells you first how many gardens and plants are affected.
Deletion happens immediately. There is no way back afterwards, and we cannot undo it either.
Without the app: by email
Write to support@permaplans.com with the subject “Delete account”.
Please send it from the address you registered with — that is how we know the request really comes from you. We act on it without undue delay, and within one month at the latest (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
What gets deleted
- your user account including sign-in details
- your profile data (nickname, avatar, bio, country, interests)
- all your gardens with boundary, layers, paths, beds and buildings
- all your plants in those gardens, including notes, photos and events
- your comments and questions in the community
- your offers and requests on the marketplace
- images you uploaded (garden photos, note photos, drone imagery)
- game scores, awards and your Pacham balance
Publicly shared gardens disappear with them, and shared links (/publicgarden/…,
/gp/…, /g/…) stop working.
What does not disappear straight away
Copies held by other people. If someone took your garden via “Share as a copy”, they hold an independent copy. It stays — it belongs to them now, not to you.
Billing records. We are required to keep payment records under German tax and commercial law (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB), for six to ten years. They are not used for anything else. The payment processing itself sits with Stripe, Apple or Google — what they store is governed by their own terms.
Backups. Our database backups expire on their own schedule. Nothing is restored from a backup except in a full-outage recovery.
Guest accounts
If you tried Permaplans without signing up, you have a guest account with no email address. Those are deleted automatically after 30 days without use — you do not have to do anything. If you want it gone sooner, use the same route in the app: Profile → Delete account.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting the account does not end a running subscription. The subscription lives wherever you took it out:
- App Store: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments and subscriptions
- Directly with us (Stripe): write to
Cancel there first, otherwise billing continues although the account is gone.
